Sarah Fishel serves as Executive Director of The Youth Development Center, where she leads the organization’s mission to engage, motivate, and activate youth while strengthening families and community connections in Winchester and the surrounding area.

 

A Winchester native, Sarah brings a deep personal connection to the community she now serves. Her career background spans politics, and community development, where she has focused on building relationships, launching initiatives, and creating sustainable programs that expand access and opportunity. While stepping into the Executive Director role marked a new chapter professionally, Sarah has long believed in taking on challenges that create meaningful impact.

 

Sarah’s commitment to service was profoundly shaped in 2022, when she became a living kidney donor. That experience reinforced her belief that communities are strongest when people show up for one another and that small acts of courage and generosity can change lives. This perspective now guides her leadership at The YDC, where she is focused on opening doors for young people and inviting them into rooms they might not otherwise have access to.

Above all, Sarah believes every child deserves to feel seen, supported, and encouraged to grow. She is honored to help steward the YDC’s legacy while shaping its future as a cornerstone of the community for generations to come.
