About The Event

Reading is more than a skill. It is one of the most powerful foundations for lifelong learning, confidence, and opportunity.

Join us this May for YDC Life Talks: Raising Readers, featuring Winchester Campaign for Grade-Level Reading. This conversation will explore why early literacy matters, how reading shapes a child’s success in school and beyond, and what families and communities can do to support young readers during the most critical years of development.

During this talk, the Campaign will share insights into the importance of early reading habits, practical ways families can support literacy at home, and how our community can work together to build a culture that celebrates reading.

At The YDC, we believe that strong readers grow into confident learners, engaged citizens, and future leaders. Raising readers is not just the responsibility of schools. It is a community effort.

Whether you are a parent, educator, mentor, or simply someone…
