Little ones get to explore their imaginations with movement, sound and props. Each week, a theme is introduced with a story that will come to life through our tiny actors. Parents are not required to stay for this class.
Students form a solid foundation for acting by learning to prepare the body, mind and voice for performance; exploring improvisation; studying how to approach a script and develop a character; and working as an ensemble. Students explore both monologues and scenes from contemporary theatre.
Student actors will dive into a positive and educational rehearsal process for their upcoming play, The Little Princess. The process is focused on building acting skills, time management, script memorization and backstage tech. The play will be performed a the conclusion of the workshop which will be open to families and the public.
