YDC At A Glance
Students, parents and community leaders provide direction on four YDC Governing Boards.
Our Gerald F.Smith Youth Activity Building and the Dave and Kathy Holliday Annexare available to the community 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!
During an average week, over 500 young people and adults visit the YDC for open gym, a party, class, meeting, practice or special event.
Annually, over 1,200 people volunteer their time and services and make charitable donations to the YDC.
YDC's student and adult boards plan several special events around holidays and other themes, including: Band Fests, First Night Celebration, Athletic Tournaments, Fitness Classes, After Graduation Party, Adventures Beyond Camp for teens with disabilities, Benefit Dinner, Golf Benefit, and more!
YDC's Student Success Mentorship Program is offered to middle and high school at risk students who are seeking additional educational and career development services outside the traditional middle or high school setting. Our goal is to provide the necessary resources and guidance in the areas of education, employment and life skills training to ensure future success.
YDC's SummerFest Program offers 106 enrichment classes in cooking, baking, arts and crafts, languages, videogaming, games, gymnastics, internet technology, improvisation, team sports and more!
